When it comes to hairstyling, Marco Greco is Toronto’s best kept secret - splitting his time between high end advertising photo shoots and his loyal salon clientele. From models, media mavens and fashionistas to moms, kids and grandmothers, Marco adores them all.

“I dropped out of school young,” he explains. “They’ve been my teachers. Shaped my views. There’s not a day that goes by - ever - that I don’t learn something from one of my clients.”

A self professed perfectionist, Marco thrives on change. He admits that he never does the same cut twice. Even long time clients who love their current style love the subtle little twists he gives them to keep it fresh.

Marco’s always on the lookout for new ideas but finds more inspiration people-watching in cafés instead of in fashion magazines. “By the time it gets in a magazine,” Marco says, “I’ve already done it.”

Fresh back from a recent photo shoot with Shalom Harlow in Istanbul, Turkey for Holt Refrew, Marco’s happy to be back behind his chair trading laughs and insights with his clients, and plans to stay there for awhile.

His dirty little secret? He never sleeps the night before a big shoot. “Worry keeps me humble,” he laughs.
